First and foremost, whether you are studying or working on a year abroad, the Third Year Abroad website is a great port of call for any advice you may need. Whether that be packing advice, travel tips or even further on to information about careers with languages.
Recently I have had the chance to write for them, and anyone who has been on a year abroad or worked abroad and thinks that their experience could inspire or advice others, can do the same!
One particularly valuable part of the TYA website is the so-called ‘Mole Diaries’, which provide a mini insight into various places that people have been on their year abroad.
A ‘Mole Diary’ I wrote about Graz can be found here! http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/german/item/2532.html
And a list of all the other places around the globe that year abroaders have written about can be found here! http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/before-you-go/the-mole-diaries.html
I also recently wrote an article dedicated to the trivialities of hostelling! Whether that be the dreaded clamber up the bunk bed or the snoring roommate, I hope many can empathise with my ‘5 Unspoken Dilemmas of Hostelling’! http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/when-you-arrive/making-the-most-of-your-year-abroad/item/2529-the-5-unspoken-dilemmas-of-hostelling.html
Thinking about hopping over the border and considering Austria for your year abroad!? Here are a few reasons why I think you will not regret the choice to do so! http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/when-you-arrive/making-the-most-of-your-year-abroad/item/2413-choose-austria-over-germany.html
Year abroad just a long holiday? Think again!?http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/when-you-arrive/making-the-most-of-your-year-abroad/item/2438-the-other-side-of-the-year-abroad-story.html
If you want to write for thirdyearabroad.com, head on over to their website and get writing! You never know who you might inspire with your travelling tales!
