“This time last year I was…”, “If I were there now I would be…”, “Oh, I’d just love to pop back!” – a small sample of post year abroad discourse I’ve heard around and abouts this week…
I’m afraid that the time has come. I mean I told myself there was no way I could be so emotional about this, but boy was I so wrong.
Before my year abroad I don’t think I quite expected that I would realistically be able to see so many different places. Least of all did I expect to make it to Italy! One bus and one train ride from Graz main train station and I could find myself arriving in the beautiful city of Venice. Then just added on popping to Milan for a couple of days. Why not! The week before was my birthday so I decided I could think of no better treat to celebrate!
It occurred to me that most the time I have something specific I want to write about for these posts, but I felt like it was just about time that I wrote something a bit more chatty and just give you a few general updates about the life behind all the exciting excursions, because I feel like that is sometimes forgotten!
It seems rather too much to conceive thinking about how quick the time has passed, yet in desperation for making the most out of what time is left, I’ve opted for a so called ‘let’s just book it and get out of here’ attitude. Austria is small and bordered by eight different countries, all reachable by simple and cheap train journeys. I would be rather foolish not to take advantage.
Therefore…Vitajte v Bratislavy…Willkommen in Bratislava…Welcome on and all to Bratislava!
Evening, well kind of morning. It seems I am the kind of person that gets strange creative urges to write at 1am. Standard.
Anyhow, welcome one and all. Grab a cuppa’ and let’s delve a little into the tales and trivialities of the past few weeks.
